Coast

The tide has turned and waves are making slow progress across the gently sloping beach. Not only coming in directly to shore but also making their way parallel to the shore, sometimes from one side, sometimes from the other and sometimes all three directions at once.

This leads to strange rectangular patterned, flat water surfaces, demarked by small wavelet fronts as shown in this image.
