Mirrorring the neighbours

A photo of the front gates, railings and porches of a terrace of pastel-coloured houses.

Tight cropping emphasises the strong vertical shading of the separating doors, the strong diagonals of the railing shadows and gate post columns, and the interupting arches of the wrought-iron black-painted gates.

Each of the mini-vignettes is repeated, diminishing with distance until the eye is rudely brought to a halt by the sky-blue porch.
