Sibirica Minor II
Font
Salisbury Cathedral's temporary font (until Pentecost, 6 June 2006). The font is a water sculpture by William Pye titled 'Sibirica Minor II'. The sculptural composition is a green bronze vessel set upon a plinth clad in hardwood capturing two states of water: contrasting between its animated outpouring spouts at each of the four corners and the still, reflective quality of the brimming surface. The design was conceived with the Cathedral in mind, its cruciform shape marking the intersection at the North Crossing within the nave. find similar photos...
