A bronze votive statue of Ganesh, garlanded and with small offerings at a wedding table.

Ganesha or Ganesh is the elephant-headed god, son of Lord Shiva and his wife Parvati. It is said that he came by his elephant head when he lost his own in battle; Shiva sent envoys into the jungle to take the head of the first animal they found and fit that to Gnesh's decapitated body. The baby elephant's head was a perfect fit.
