Like travelling back through time, the seagull crosses from the newly built, up-market flats that overlook the barbican and on to the skeletal remains of the roofs of much older, commercial buildings. The tiles have been reclaimed or fallen off and only the weeoden frames remain. The buildings are likely set to be demolished as part of another development, once the credit crunch is over.
