A closeup photo of three english common-or-garden snails. Their eyes are on fiully extended stalks, and these land molluscs are off on their travels - and each other!

In this photo you can see the muscle of the 'foot', the mouth-parts - almost like dewlaps on a dog - and the eyes on the ends of their stalk-like extensions, all sparkling and glistening with the light mucous they exude for lubrication.
